Black Drum Bite Picking Up

Nov 15 2022

I ran into anglers Carl and Joe up at the Old Town Bait and Tackle Shop this afternoon and they graciously agreed to give me a fishing report. They had put in early this morning so they were fishing a low and incoming tide. After making their way out of Egans Creek they eased down to some docks and set up to fish the pilings with live shrimp on a “knocker” rig. Carl reports that they had good catches of keeper sized (over 14″ measured to the tail”) Black “puppy” Drum and a handful of Flounder (tossed back – the season is closed until December 1st) and that the Mangrove Snapper are still here.
