Angler John Givens reports from the surf today. on the last of an outgoing tide. He caught this 24” 4.86lb Seatrout in the mid-island surf-Amelia Island, using fresh dead shrimp tipped with clam Fishbite on a Carolina rig about 30 yards out in a hole near a run out. That’s a huge “Gator” Trout!
He caught the 17” flounder with same bait on a double drop rig-about 80 yds out.
John reports that he also had several whiting.
