This from angler John Givens, Nassau Sport Fishing Association Member: The Whiting are still biting in the Fernandina beach surf although we had to move around to find them. I was using fresh dead shrimp with no Fishbites or scent was best. Best area was the first wash close to beach and inside the first sandbar. Kept 6 whiting 11” to 13” for dinner. 2 longtime FB locals had better quality whiting –all 12”+ about ¼ mile south of me. At the cleaning table fellow fishing club member, EJ. had 15 quality whiting.
